Hawkins discussed the team's attitude - and went into the fourth round when they finally managed to shake off a determined West Covina team. When a three-point play by Long Beach Wilson's Arielle Hines made it to an opening-quarter comeback to cut it to three points, it looked like they might win the game to the end.
Driven by a clutch play, Wilson took a 20-8 lead in the fourth quarter against West Covina and pulled away. The other three-point gave Wilson a 59-45 lead with 3: 25 left - a 3 that was perhaps the final nail in her coffin. It wasn't easy for the Bruins, who led only 32-31 at halftime and into the fourth quarter.

Before playing for UCLA, he was a member of the volleyball team at West Covina High School at the University of California, Los Angeles. Haren played for UCLA's men's and women's basketball teams as well as the U.S. men's national team.
